Dall'Abaco: Concerti

Evaristo Felice Dall'Abaco was born in Verona in 1675. He entered the court of the Bavariab elector Maximilian II in Munich 1704, in whose service he would to the positions of konzertmeister and electoral councillo. The earle years of his service at court were overshadowed by the turmoil causes by the War of the Spanish Succession, when, in the course of several years' flight with Maximilian's retinue, led him to France. Here, turning the sutuation to his advantage, he familiarized himself with French music. As a result, Dall'Abaco's Concerti demonstrate an unusually rich variety of styles.
